Self-care is not self-indulgent or a treat, it is as necessary as breathing! What can you do to take care of yourself?
- Letting go does not mean you are no longer caring. It is important to realize that sometimes things can be good enough because you are good enough. Yes, you need to work hard, but don’t beat yourself up if you are not perfect. Perfectionism will steal your joy; in fact, it is the opposite of joy. When you can accept that life isn’t perfect, you can relax into it. If you struggle with perfectionism here is an article to help you overcome it.
- Celebrate all the ways you have grown this year. James Clear in his book Atomic Habits talks about improving by 1% every day. If you take one thing from our Tuesday Two and improve your self-care becoming more resilient, then you have improved by about 10%. Awesome work, just think where we will be by the end of 2023.
