Seeing negatives as positives can be hard work, but let’s look at it like a fun exercise. (It does take practice) When you start to see yourself becoming negative think of it’s opposite. - When seeing my counsellor, she introduced me to somatic therapy. It was very helpful to me to break through some difficult situations I had experienced (more on that another time). She also taught me to bring myself to the current moment in time using my senses. What seems to be our intuition/gut feeling in life is because our body has it’s own radar system, our senses. These same senses can be used to bring us to mindfulness in a matter of moments. While you are waiting for an appointment, or standing in a line use the time to engage your senses and observe the world around you. What can you see, feel, hear, smell and taste.
