Morning – Do you have a solid morning routine? I am amazed at how quickly I can get distracted from my routine, then something reminds me of what I should be doing, and I adjust once again. Recently I was listening to Mel’s Podcast while I was at the gym and realized I had forgotten to start my day with hot water and lemon. It is beneficial for so many reasons! So morning routine adjusted, and she’s right I drink less coffee 😊 This is a great podcast to listen to because it is a summary of the top 8 episodes for the year. This morning the alarm rang, I got up, had my hot water, did my devotions and journalling, and off to the gym I went. I was very proud of myself for getting up, but as I pulled into the parking lot the building was dark! I forgot that our pool (where the gym is located) is closed for two weeks for its annual maintenance. So, home I went for some body weight exercises and a good laugh. Then I headed out to catch a beautiful glimmer to start my day with awe.
De-clutter – The podcast also includes a highlight on the difference between decluttering and organizing. I need to go back and listen to the full episode. Man, I struggle with this. But what she said really struck me. Keep purging until you can manage what you have. Oh wow! That is going to be a great deal of purging. This is a contentious point between my husband and myself. If I can truly get a handle on this, I think it will make a big difference. Do you have any great tips on this? I would love to hear them, so please email me.
