1 – Beauty – It is said that true beauty blooms from the heart. To a certain extent I believe it is also in how we view the world around us. When you are looking for beauty, good, or blessings everywhere you will find them. Even in the hard times, they are there. Sometimes just focusing on a beautiful flower, a sunrise or sunset can change or at least shift your perspective. “Life is amazing. And then it’s awful. And then it’s amazing again. And in between the amazing and awful it’s ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary. That’s just living heartbreaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life. And it’s breathtakingly beautiful.” – L.R. Knost

Free – We are coming up to the long weekend in Canada this week and the US next. What are some fun and free things you can do? What are some freeing things you can do?
Every year my husband and I sit down and plan our priorities for the year and part of that is to identify things we want to do together for fun. Things like biking and hiking can be pretty much free and include some exercise which is good for a mood boost as well. They also give us time together which is beneficial as well. We also include crib, or other games we can play just the two of us. Here is a list of ideas for free things to do.
2 – Freeing is the release from captivity, confinement, or slavery. For me, bike riding at a fast pace with the wind in my face can be freeing, so can driving with the window down and music blaring. Yelling at the top of my lungs while driving is also freeing when I am upset about something. What do you find freeing? I hope to hear from you with a photo about what you did for your long weekend. jeannette@excello.ca
