Each Tuesday I will deliver to you two things that are relevant to wellness.
Self-care is not self-indulgent or a treat, it is as necessary as breathing! What can you do to take care of yourself?
- Massage. It is a necessity not a luxury. If you have benefits that cover the cost great news, but if you are like me, I quickly run out. Learning how to massage my muscles myself, or asking my husband to help me out has become necessary. Check out the Belly Love Method. I travel a lot for my work and have had to learn how to massage my muscles myself. Here is some information. I carry a tennis ball and a lacrosse ball with me in my suitcase to ease those knots that develop, and I found this great piece of granite. Not only is it heart shaped, but it’s perfect for my sore and stiff neck. I rub a little Peppermint Halo (Sage ©) or mint on my neck first and it really helps.
- Relationships. “The world is full of nice people, if you can’t find one, be one!” – Rumi. The worse you feel about yourself, the less joy you feel. When you tap into the feeling of joy inside you, you are more likely to find someone who matches your energy. Our relationships are a living thing, they need attention and nourishment on a regular basis. Nurture your relationships with joy.
